In just four days, four continents echoed the same grim refrain. In New York, the West Indian Day Parade ended in bloodshed as gunfire erupted across Crown Heights, leaving several wounded. In Congo, the M23 rebel group unleashed deadly violence in Bukavu, killing 16 and injuring dozens. In Israel, a car-and-knife assault struck near Karkur Junction. And in Pakistan, Friday prayers turned into tragedy when a suicide bomber attacked a religious school, leaving worshippers dead and wounded. Different places, different perpetrators—but one chillingly familiar message: violence knows no borders, and insecurity has become globalized. Can we still dismiss these as “isolated incidents,” or must we admit that the world has normalized a cycle of brutality?

Leaders of Violence, Architects of Illusion

The problem is not only the violence on the streets but the violence engineered in diplomatic halls. When Vladimir Putin meets Masoud Pezeshkian in China, what message is truly being sent? One is the architect of war and mass killing in Ukraine; the other presides over a system in Iran that continues executions and repression with impunity.
The bitter irony is this: Ali Khamenei murderer of humanity and executioner of our time, the real power and godfather of a corrupt political economic mafia reportedly instructed Pezeshkian before his trip to remind Beijing to accelerate the 25-year deal that secretly leased parts of the Persian Gulf to China, and to ensure the “rent” is paid. Deep down, Khamenei knows he stands one step from eternal downfall.
This haste in selling off national resources reveals their own disbelief in the survival of their regime.

The Coming Environmental Storm

While politics fuels violence, the planet itself is entering another kind of war a war against time. Scientific projections are unequivocal: global warming is likely to surpass 1.5 °C above pre-industrial levels by the early 2030s, with an 86% chance this threshold will be crossed within the next five years. By 2100, sea levels could rise by up to one meter, displacing hundreds of millions and submerging coastal regions. Extinction risks may wipe out a quarter of global species. The economic toll? $38 trillion annually within the next 25 years, and up to $792 trillion by the end of the century. Are these just abstract numbers or urgent alarms signaling the collapse of ecosystems and livelihoods while humanity looks the other way?

Iran: A Case Study in Crisis and Denial

Iran embodies the intersection of politics and environment. Since 1960, average national temperatures have risen by 2 °C while rainfall has declined by 20% over the past two decades. Projections warn of an additional +2.6 °C rise and a 35% decline in precipitation conditions that could render large parts of the country uninhabitable. Yet Iran remains outside the Paris Agreement, alongside only three other nations, isolating itself from global climate frameworks. At the same time, its leadership invests not in sustainability but in repression. The unavoidable question is this: What must be done now?
Can societies break free from paralysis and demand action against violence, against climate collapse, against existential threats before charlatans and autocrats dictate not only our politics but also the fate of our planet?

A Simple Question?

One question lingers a simple yet shaking one: Are murderers the only ones allowed to become our leaders?

If the answer is “yes,” then we ourselves have allowed the earth to be handed over to sadistic rulers bent on destruction.

If “no,” then why do our leaders reside in palaces, travel in luxury cars, and occupy the most lavish hotels while ordinary people are crushed under poverty and insecurity?

Is the earth not ours?

Do they not draw salaries to serve us?

Is it not the duty of politicians to put their education and power in service of society, not in service of their own dominance?

Why are political cycles so short on humanity yet so full of repetition? Putin is always president. Khamenei is always supreme leader. Trump spent four years plotting to reclaim the presidency and unsettle the global order.
The names repeat, the faces repeat while the people are left exhausted, spectators of their own decline.

A world without repetition do you long for it too?

A new party, a new figure, a new idea where is it?

Why have we forgotten that the earth already has an owner: eight billion people, not self-proclaimed rulers. If the planet is at the brink of collapse, we all share responsibility.

The pressing question is not who holds power now, but rather: why have we surrendered our power to those who will never build a future for us?
